Advantages of being trained in First Aid
Taking your SIA door supervisor training course and obtaining your SIA license will make you legally able to work in the industry, but what else can you do to help you gain employment as a door supervisor?
One piece of training that you can add to your CV that will help you gain employment is first aid training. Having a first aid certificate and knowing how to react in an emergency situation is useful to those looking for work in the security industry, and taking a first aid course gives you another practical skill to use in your job.
If you’re not sure about whether to book your first aid training, then read on for some of the advantages of taking the course.
- Preference over other candidates- UK law requires all workplaces have a trained first aider who can help anyone taken ill while at work. Having a first aid certificate will give you an advantage over other candidates applying for the same job as you.
- Learn extra skills- Our first aid course teaches you how to deal with and react to an emergency situation. During the sessions, you will learn vital skills that can help save lives, including basic life support and control of bleeding.
- Certificate lasts for 3 years- once your training is complete and you receive your certificate, then you will not need to renew it for 3 years. The certificate will remain valid even if you change employment during this time.
The Training Circle hold a minimum of two First Aid Training Courses a month. Our courses are either half day, 1 day or spread over 3 days, depending on the level of qualification you want.
